A SCHOOL is introducing birthday celebrations for its pupils in class as it’s impossible to have a party with friends at this time.

Chiseldon Primary will hold a birthday party in each class on the last Friday morning of each month, to celebrate all children who have had their birthday that month.

The teachers voted to back the fun idea to do in their classes.

Headteacher Spencer Allen said: “I saw the idea on the community Facebook page so I only took it to staff. I thought it was a lovely, sweet idea to recognize the kids.

“So all kids who have had a birthday in September, October or November will get to celebrate at the end of this month. It will be a bit of a party time with their class teacher while remaining in their bubbles so they’re not mixing."

Mr Allen wrote a letter to parents explaining what they will be doing. He highlights how children have had to adapt to many new regulations but wellbeing is very important and this is the reason for doing it.
