A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been banned from entering a town centre after he appeared in court yet again.
Robin Connolly, 30, was issued with a criminal behaviour order which will stop hip entering any shop in Accrington town centre, The Spar on Burnley Road, One Stop on Blackburn Road or Matalan on Hyndburn Road.
Connolly, of Corporation Street, Accrington, appeared before Burnley Magistrates this week to be dealt with for a series of shoplifting offences.
A police spokesman has now confirmed that the neighbourhood policing team have been successful in securing a CBO against him.
They said: “Hyndburn NPT have secured a criminal behaviour order on prolific shoplifter Robin Connolly.
“He also appeared before Burnley Magistrates for a series of shopliftings where he received his third suspended sentence.
“He now has 3 16 week custodial sentences which have been suspended for 12 months.”
