PUPILS across Swindon have been swapping their school uniform for Pudsey Bear-inspired outfits to raise funds for Children in Need.

The BBC campaign raises money to help disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. The theme this year is Together, We Can.

Students from Greenmeadow Primary School in north Swindon dressed in something related to Pudsey Bear and have been organising a variety of games with the topic of your age for a suggested donation of £1.

Headteacher Kate Mackinnon said: “As it was a challenge related to your age, we had a variety of activities while working in bubbles.

“We had so many things, ball skills with the total number of their ages in year six, timed word searches of seven, eight or nine minutes, obstacle course, jumping over hurdles, a scavenger hunt, decorating biscuits and natural pictures of Pudsey.

“The council decides on the charities we help so this is children focused so it’s really important to us. It’s really important this year as there are lots of families in need.”

“Life for children is very different so we wanted to normalise things following the current guidance. We want to be part of a community responsible for each other.”
