A TODDLER and her mum have completed a two-mile sponsored walk in aid of Children in Need.
The theme of this year's appeal is taking your age and doing something good with it.
Elise Jordan from Tweed Close with her two-year-old daughter Daphne decided this would be a fun challenge.
Elise, 28, said: “Because of lockdown it’s the only thing we can do anyway.
“She’s only two but she kept going, she didn’t complain and was waving to the cars, so she loved it. We went from Green Meadow up to Thames Avenue. We did two miles because the theme was something to do with your age – next year we will have to do three.
“At the end the neighbours put ribbon out so she could run through it. which was really lovely.
They were joined by nan Julie Pearce, 60, and Elise’s seven-month-old son Teddy – strapped to her back – all in their Pudsey pyjamas. They raised more than £200 for the charity.
“My mum works in a supermarket and usually they do lots like cakes and a tombola but this year they can’t. It goes up every year so it will be horrible if they don’t raise enough.
"Our goal was £50 but people just kept sponsoring her, some people stopped us while we were walking and chased after us.”
