BIKERS who travelled from Liverpool to an East Lancashire quarry have been reprimanded by police.
Over the weekend officers attended the area of Lee Quarry following reports of off road motorcycles being ridden.
Upon their arrival, police located the bikers and issued two groups with warnings.
A spokesman said: "The riders said they had travelled from Liverpool as they had been told they would not attract the attention of local police.
"Section 59 of the police reform act 2002 allows the police to give drivers and riders a warning if they are reported to have used their vehicle in a manner which causes "alarm, distress or annoyance". If reported to have done so again within a year the police have the right to confiscate the vehicle."
