HAYDON Meadow Pre-School was forced to close its doors at the start of Lockdown 2, despite the government saying such facilities can remain open.
The pre-school runs out of the Haydon Centre in Haydon Wick, which shut in line with government guidance for leisure centres.
This left parents without childcare and unable to go to work.
Manager Debbie Waldron said: “The pre-school was able to re-open on Monday (November 16) through the support of Swindon Borough Council providing funding."
After being shut for nearly two weeks, there was pressure on the pre-school to be open because of the importance of providing childcare to local families.
The centre was contacted by North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson and council leader David Renard, who both urged the centre to re-consider.
