Covid admission figures have continued to rise, figures show
Around 50 beds were occupied by coronavirus patients at Swindon’s hospital last week, figures show.
On November 17, the latest date for which figures are available, 49 beds at Great Western Hospital were occupied by patients with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.
That represented a jump on the previous week, when patient numbers were in the mid-30s.
Figures published by NHS England show 43 people were diagnosed with covid-19 at GWH or admitted to hospital with the virus in the seven days to November 15.
