STRATTON: Marcus Smith, 25, of Ermin Street, admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra on Victoria Road on October 17 without a licence or insurance. He was fined £250, banned from driving for two ears and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Jade Dent, 29, of no fixed address, admitted shoplifting from Wilko in October and November last year, taking an electric car racing set from Hornby Hobbies on February 1, 2020, and stealing food and stationery from Poundland in April. She also admitted a charge of racially aggravated disorderly behaviour dated February 2, 2020. She was given a 12 month community order with 40 rehabilitation activity days and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

PARK NORTH: Kerry Lea Duggan, 33, of Bruton Walk, pleaded guilty to stealing hair products and a gift set from Boots on November 16, 2019, fragrance sets from Debenhams and clothes worth £40 from Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service’s charity shop Survivor. She must pay the charity £40 as part of a 12 month community order, during which she will also have to complete a six month alcohol treatment programme.

EAST SWINDON: Prosecutors withdrew allegations that a 17-year-old boy had been supplying crack cocaine and heroin to an undercover police officer last year. The case was reviewed by the Crown Prosecution Service and the boy was deemed to be a victim of modern slavery.

OLD TOWN: Garry Bourne, 43, of Union Street, pleaded guilty to stealing a purse and its contents – worth £60 – on January 25, 2020. He was given a 12 month community order with 15 rehabilitation days and was ordered to pay £60 compensation and £50 costs.

TOOTHILL: Matthew Glover, 47, of Stamford Close, admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood on March 14 this year and failing to stop at the scene of a crash on East Wichel Way on the same date after his Vauxhall van struck a Ford Transit. He was fined £120, given a three month curfew and ordered to pay £175 in costs and surcharge. He was banned from driving for 18 months.

SWINDON: Raife Baverstock, 26, of Gilmore Road, Malmesbury, admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood on May 1 and breaching an earlier suspended sentence order. He was jailed for six weeks and banned from the roads for 17 months. He must pay a £122 victim surcharge.

M4: Mark Rees, 46, of Station Road, Yate, pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene of an accident on the M4 on August 26 last year. He also pleaded guilty to driving a Landrover Discovery carelessly and without insurance. He was fined £300, banned from the road for 84 days and ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge.

SWINDON: Keafer Rutland, 23, of Kingston Road, Wimbledon, admitted possession of cannabis in Swindon on May 25, 2018. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and must pay £105 in costs and surcharge.

CRICKLADE: Damien Shears, 31, of Middle Ground, admitted six charges of making off without paying for fuel and driving a Vauxhall Vivaro van between October 5 and November 13 last year without insurance. He must pay £391.15 in compensation.

PURTON: Wayne Crowter, 35, of Dogridge, admitted drug driving a Renault Kangoo on November 23, 2019, driving on Drakes Way without insurance or a licence and possession of cannabis. He was banned from driving for three years and fined £224. Magistrates ordered he pay £117 in costs and surcharge.

WEST SWINDON: Carl Lawrence, 64, of Gainsborough Way, admitted damaging a Seat Exeo and using disorderly behaviour on January 26, 2020. He was given a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

OLD TOWN: A warrant was issued for the arrest of Abiola Fadahunsi, 34, of Godwin Court. He is accused of committing fraud by failing to disclose information in respect of gaining employment at care company Dynamic Support and attempting to get work at The Priory Group. He is also said to have had a counterfeit UK resident permit and a Santander bank statement for use in connection with a fraud.

SWINDON: Gary Amis, 42, of Tildesley Road, Putney, admitted beating a woman on December 13 last year and committing an offence while subject to a suspended sentence imposed by Surrey magistrates in 2019. He was sentenced to 18 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for 18 months. He must do 35 rehabilitation activity days and pay £85 costs and a £149 victim surcharge.

CRICKLADE: Raymond Mutter, 75, of Deansfield, pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Meriva on Gipsy Lane on October 7 last year. He was fined £246, given six points and ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge.

SWINDON: Owen Simmonds, 20, of Twerton, Bath, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm. He was given a 12 month community order with 150 hours of unpaid work and 15 rehabilitation activity days. He must pay £500 compensation.

SWINDON: Martin Wesley, 35, of Highclere, Newbury, admitted driving a Mitsubishi Canter on Ocotal Way on August 6, 2019, while disqualified from driving and uninsured. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge and given a further six penalty points.
