A CHARITY shop that was forced to close in March has finally reopened. 

Abingdon's Oxfam closed when the country was put into national lockdown at the start of the year. 

But when all non-essential retailers were given the green-light to reopen in July, volunteers had to stay at home.

Now after a long nine-months, staff have said they are 'delighted' to be back. 

Shoppers even queued outside the Stert Street store to get in.

Inside, the shop has been given a little makeover to make it Covid-safe and easy to socially distance.

It is understood the branch will not be taking any donations until the new year.
