CHRISTMAS arrived early for a Quavers superfan from Wiltshire.

After declaring her love for the light and floaty snack via Twitter, Adele defeated more than 500 hopeful Quavers fans for the Walkers title and won a lifetime supply.

She was also given the chance to become the first person in the world to try the retro prawn cocktail and salt and vinegar Quavers before their hotly-anticipated return in January following nearly a decade off shelves.

The 52-year-old mum of one, from Melksham, who works as a software asset manager, has also been rewarded with a lifetime supply of the floaty light snacks.

To secure the opportunity, the superfan declared her love of the curly snack and the retro flavours via a poem, telling Walkers: “Quavers flavours are a joy to eat, flavour and texture hard to be beat.

“Calorie counting or a midday snack, it always leaves you wanting another pack. Let's go quackers for Quavers and the flavours that are coming back. Hoping they’re in my stocking this year from Santa's sack.”

The search for the nation’s biggest Quavers enthusiast came after over 170,000 fans sent Twitter into meltdown by voting earlier this month to bring back one of the flavours.

Walkers gave the nation the good news it needs by announcing both will make a triumphant return on January 10.

Quavers Queen Adele, who comes from Hinckley in Leicestershire, said that as a youngster she had been brought up on Walkers snacks, with her favourite being Quavers.

She added: “I'll never go hungry. That's for sure. I’ve loved Quavers for as long as I can remember, and Salt & Vinegar and Prawn Cocktail flavours were my absolute favourites so when they disappeared off shelf, I was devastated.

“When I found out they were making a comeback in the new year and I could be in with the chance of trying them before anyone else, it was a no brainer – I did everything I could!

“What’s more, I can confirm they taste just as good as they ever did. Despite everything else this year, it’s been the best Christmas present!”

Mrs Keeble said she used to get Walkers snacks flown out to her when she lived abroad in Germany, Cyprus and Gibraltar, and will be sharing her prize with family and friends.

The win also includes a cash prize and she makes to make donations of £122 to the Trussell Trust foodbank and £120 to the Melksham foodbank.

Will Robinson, from Walkers, said: “We know Quavers hold a special place in the nation’s heart and that there is a lot of love for them - especially for these two classic flavours."

“Following public demand and petitions to bring them back over the years, we’re delighted to hear that Adele has given them the seal of approval and confirmed they taste just as good as they did back in the 90s. We’re excited to hear what other Quavers fans think once they hit the shelves in the new year.”

The retro flavours - Prawn Cocktail and Salt & Vinegar - will be available in supermarkets nationwide from January 10.
