THE Swindon Food Collective is staying open throughout lockdown.
Despite the new national measures which were introduced last week, it will carry on providing the vital service of giving food to vulnerable families.
A spokesperson said: “If you are struggling to provide food for yourself or family, please
see our website for how to get a referral for food.
“Our generous food boxes are nutritionally balanced, containing food for breakfasts, lunches and dinners along with coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits. You will also receive personal toiletries and household cleaning products subject to availability at each centre.
“If you are concerned about providing lunches for your children that are being home schooled, please contact their school for further information.
“If you are facing the choice of heating or eating, please contact Warm and Safe Wiltshire for help and advice, telephone 0800 038 5722.”
The St John’s Church Hall distribution centre in Whitbourne Avenue is closed but all others remain open.
For anybody looking to donate food, there are collection points at most supermarkets.
