A man will be sentenced next month for attacking a man in Swindon last March.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court yesterday, Behar Kasemi, 47, of Maidstone Road, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm – but denied a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He assaulted a man in Swindon on March 20, 2020.
Prosecutor Sue Cavender said the pleas were acceptable to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Judge Jason Taylor QC bailed Kasemi and ordered a pre-sentence report. He will be sentenced on February 12.
The judge said: “You will be given credit for that guilty plea. All options are open when it comes to sentence. Cooperate with probation, answer your phone when they call and you will be sentenced on the 12th.”
In 2019, he was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment for biting a special constable’s finger, when the judge who jailed him said: “To use the colloquial you kicked off.”
