Three teenagers have been arrested after armed police were called to reports of a group firing an air rifle.

Wiltshire Police said the officers were called to Kembrey Street shortly before 8pm tonight.

An 18-year-old man and two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of causing fear of violence with a firearm. They were taken to Gablecross police station, where they remain.

Insp Colin Conway said: "The public may have seen the firearms officers responding to this incident and I want to reassure people that this was dealt with quickly and there were no injuries.

"We have arrested three teenagers and are not looking to arrest anyone else.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who may have information that helps us with our enquiries."
