ANOTHER 55 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Swindon over the last 24 hours.
Public Health England figures show that 8,480 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Sunday, January 17 in Swindon, up from 8,425 the same time on Saturday.
The seven-day rolling infection rate is at 396.5 cases per 100,000 people, down from 413.6 per 100,000 people.
It is the first time in weeks that the number of new infections is below 100.
Across the UK, 38,598 new cases have been recorded in the same period.
