HEAVY rain could cause flooding and disrupt travel routes later this week.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for strong showers over Swindon which will last from midnight on Wednesday morning until midday on Thursday.
A spokesman listed what to expect: "Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely, bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer, Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer, some interruption to power supplies and other services likely."
Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to range from 10 degrees Celsius to 2C, which will drop from 6C to 1C on Thursday.
