CRIMESTOPPERS has renewed its appeal - and a £5,000 reward - to find the man responsible for a Wiltshire sex attack.

The victim, in her 30s, was said to have been sexually assaulted at Hudson’s Field in Castle Road, Salisbury, just after midnight on May 19, 2019.

An e-fit drawing of what the suspect is believed to look like was released by police just after the incident, and the appeal was renewed in May 2020, marking one year since the assault.

Despite this, the attacker has not been found and the investigation is ongoing.

He is described as being white, in his early 20s, around 5ft 10 to 6ft tall, with a skinny build. His short hair was sandy blonde and he had no facial hair. He was wearing a light maroon coloured hoodie.

The attacker is not believed to be a member of the travelling circus, that had taken place in the same area that day.

Emily Van der Lely, Wiltshire and Swindon regional manager at Crimestoppers, said: “This horrific crime took place a while ago, but we are appealing to anyone who may have travelled to see the circus and noticed the offender or something suspicious that evening. You could be from Salisbury or from out of the area.

"We hope our reward encourages you to come forward to tell us what you know, 100 per cent anonymously.

“Crimestoppers believes that everyone has the right to walk the streets safely without experiencing harm. We don’t want anybody else to be assaulted by this dangerous individual. Please do the right thing and get in touch with our charity. Only you will know you contacted us.

“Crimestoppers has been taking crime information for over 33 years and we have always kept our promise of 100 per cent anonymity to the millions of people who have trusted us."

The reward will only qualify for information passed to Crimestoppers, not passed directly to police, via the untraceable anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555111.
