A man has appeared before the magistrates accused of bringing a knuckleduster into the UK.
James Stockwell, 27, of Wiltshire Road, Harnham, is said to have had the offensive weapon on him at Heathrow Airport on January 11, 2019.
He had been charged by the police with importing prohibited goods and possession of an offensive weapon and appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday on a warrant issued by a court in Uxbridge.
Stockwell did not enter pleas and, after representations from the prosecutor, the case was adjourned to Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court where the matter will be heard on March 8. Stockwell was granted conditional bail.
