Police shut an Old Town cul-de-sac. 

Officers from Wiltshire Police closed Roman Crescent, off Westlecott Road. 

A riot van was at the scene together with two police vans.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at an address in Roman Crescent, Old Town, Swindon.

“We were called to the property shortly before 10am this morning due to concern for a man inside.

“We have closed the road while we deal with the incident, but would like to reassure people that there is no threat to the wider public.”

The incident has since been resolved. A man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
