EMERGENCY services raced to Swindon train station earlier today after a person was hit by a train.
Police responded to a 999 call just before 2pm on Saturday.
Rail services have been disrupted by delays and cancellations for much of the afternoon.
In a statement on its website, GWR said: "Due to a person hit by a train earlier at Swindon all lines are blocked. Disruption is expected until 19:00 06/03.
"Train services between Swindon and Didcot Parkway are returning to normal but some services will still be cancelled or delayed."
