A SHOP assistant was injured when she tried to stop a thief making off with stolen goods.
A man entered the One Stop Shop in Guildford Avenue, Lawn, around 6pm on April 3, and took a number of items off the shelves.
He then tried to leave the shop without paying. A female employee tried to stop him but she was pushed aside and her arm got caught on the door handle. She was left with a painful and swollen arm.
Wiltshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with in connection with the shoplifting incident.
Anyone who recognises him should call 101 and ask for PC Jo Phelps from the Swindon Community Policing Team.
