A CLOSURE order has been granted for the car park area of Bridgemead Retail Park as a result of vehicle-related anti-social behaviour.
It means that people cannot be in the car park between 8.30pm and 6am from Monday to Saturday, from 7.30m to 6am on Saturday evening until Sunday morning and from 5.30pm to 6am on Sunday evening into Monday morning.
The order obtained by Swindon Borough Council will last until July 19, 2021.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “The Stratton, Central North and West Swindon Neighbourhood Team has been out this weekend in West Swindon with their response colleagues advising motorists using the car park of the order.
“Motorists advised have all responded positively and moved on promptly from the area.”
To back up the order police are carrying out speed checks in west Swindon and Great Western Way and the closure will continue to be monitored by the local team.
