Firefighters release person trapped after car crash on Thamesdown Drive
FIREFIGHTERS rescued a person trapped in a vehicle following a crash on Thamesdown Drive.
The crew from Westlea and Swindon fire stations were called to an overturned vehicle on the northbound carriageway on the A4198.
They used hydraulic cutting gear to release the victim.
The scene has been made safe and the casualty was left in the care of the ambulance crew.
The traffic lifghts have also been damaed.
Traffic is queueing northbound on the A4198 near the Tawny Owl turn-off and traffic lights.
