Two voters were concerned as they went to their polling station when they weren’t given the ballot papers for the elections for Swindon Borough Council and police and crime commissioner.
But the borough council, which manages elections in the town, says the pair returned and were issued with the papers and were able to cast their votes.
The confusion occurred just after polling stations opened at 7am at the station at the Tawny Owl pub in Haydon Wick.
There is a double polling station there, with some voters eligible to vote in a parish council election as well as the borough and county-wide votes, and others not able to vote for the lower-tier body.
The two voters were handed just parish voting papers, when they should have got papers for all three elections.
