Teen drug dealer 'was groomed from 12'

Teen drug dealer Ewan Burrows had been groomed by gangsters from the age of 12.
The 18-year-old was caught selling class A drugs for the notorious Eldene line.
Judge Jason Taylor QC sent him to prison for four years and two months - and warned him he was skating on thin ice. A further conviction for supplying class A drugs would put him at risk of a seven year minimum jail sentence.
The judge said: “When you were under-18 in all probability you were taken advantage of and back then, sadly, the National Referral Mechanism [flagging victims of modern slavery] wasn’t up and running to the extent that it is now and there are elements of vulnerability in you that others probably took advantage of.
“I am encouraged now you are using your time in prison constructively.
“The upshot is simply this: you need to grow up now and start taking responsibility and my fear is that if you don’t you will be back here again for drug offences and next time you will be facing a minimum sentence of seven years. Do you understand that?
“You are skating on thin ice, so you need to use this time now in prison to make a break from your previous lifestyle and put in place the skills that will enable you to resist the influences of others upon your release.”

Martin Williams' custody shot Picture: WILTSHIRE POLICE
Martin Williams told his 13-year-old victim she looked "fit" and said: “If I was younger I would s*** you. I’m deadly serious.”
The Park South man was sent to prison for two-and-a-half years by Judge Jason Taylor QC.
He told Williams, who witnessed the fatal 1991 Akers Way crash and was said to have suffered from PTSD: “This incident may have been relatively, and I emphasise the word relatively, short lived but it will remain with her for far longer - possibly her life - and this court must reflect that.”

Murderer given another year for paramedic assault
Convicted murderer Gerald Lee slashed a paramedic in the head after it was suggested he’d need to go to hospital.
The 56-year-old, who was given a life sentence in 1983 after he beat a woman to death with a brick, was said to have drunk up to a litre of vodka before the assault.
Sending him to prison for a year, Judge Peter Crabtree told Lee: “This was a serious attack by a drunken individual on an emergency worker, which has had a lasting and ongoing effect on him. In those circumstances it will be 12 months and immediate custody.”

Jamie Milligan Picture: WILTSHIRE POLICE
A Mini driver rammed a car containing a mum and her two children outside McDonald's in a bid to get away from police.
Organised crime squad officers were trying to stop Jamie Milligan's car and arrest his passengers as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing links between Swindon and Bristol.
Milligan, 29, was arrested and charged - but remained at large for 17 months before he was put before the courts.
Jailing him for 10 months, Judge Jason Taylor QC said: “You not only damaged the car you were driving but you damaged the car that you struck and there was the risk of injury to others not just inside your car but police officers and the mother and her two young children.”
