SIX new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Swindon, today's government figures reveal.
In the last seven days, there have been 38 positive Covid-19 test results recorded in the borough, which is 30 fewer than the week before. This represents a 44.1 per cent drop.
As of May 6, Swindon's infection rate was 15.3 cases per 100,000 population. Once it goes below 10 cases, the borough will qualify for a lower category on the government's interactive map showing the country's coronavirus cases by local authority.
Between 9am on Monday and 9am today, there were 2,474 new cases recorded around the UK.
