MORE seats will be available on the town’s buses from next week.
Warrington’s Own Buses will be making more seats available to customers on its services when the next relaxation of coronavirus lockdown measures comes into effect on Monday, May 17.
This means that buses will be running at around 80 per cent of their usual capacity.
A bus company spokesman said: “In line with the roadmap for reopening, Warrington’s Own Buses is making more seats available on every bus from May 17.
“The bus company is welcoming customers back on board as the next step in reopening society after the pandemic.
“All forward facing seats will be available to use, giving buses much more capacity.
“In line with other restrictions being eased, this change will help to carry more people and gives buses about 80 per cent of the pre-Covid capacity.
“Buses are cleaned more than ever with an enhanced cleaning regime which includes anti-viral fogging of each bus every night, and spot cleaning of frequently touched surfaces through the day at Warrington Bus Interchange.
“Almost all employees have now been vaccinated and have access to regular testing.
“Face coverings are mandatory on buses and in bus stations, and you can find further information on the precautions and rules in place at warringtonsownbuses.co.uk “If you have any questions about your journey, please get in touch with the bus company or ask a member of the team.”
