ARTISTS have launched a new network to help people connect, collaborate, and learn now that the lockdown restrictions are being eased.
SLART started the Swindon Art Network to give art lovers a chance to continue their passion.
“I set up Swindon Art Network borne out of frustration in finding local studio space. Renting office space is inconvenient and too expensive. So I thought ‘why not set up a network of artists, where we can share resources and boost the Swindon art scene overall?’” said artist Steve Light.
“Especially post Covid-19 pandemic, I feel we need more focus on art locally, to lift people’s spirits”
Members plan to host regular meet-ups, socials, art sessions, and featured guest speakers.
Swindon Art Network’s inaugural Drink and Draw session is on May 25 at 6.30pm.
It will cost £5 for the session to cover the room costs.
