A TRIAL date has been set for a man accused of trying to get a 13-year-old girl to perform a sex act on a dog.
Trevor Fernandes, 36, is also said by prosecutors to have pressured the girl, who is based in America, to film herself performing sex acts on herself and a younger child.
The allegations are denied.
On Thursday, Judge Jason Taylor QC made arrangements for Fernandes’ trial to begin on September 13. The trial is expected to last several days.
Fernandes, of Dixon Street, has already pleaded not guilty to seven charges of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, six counts of taking indecent images in category B and three counts of taking indecent images in category C.
The offences are said to have been committed in November 2020.
Daniel Sawyer appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Fernandes was represented at Thursday’s hearing by Jack Jennett.
