TOWN CENTRE: Sarah Forbes of Park Lane has been disqualified from driving for 17 months and fined £60.

The 40-year-old pleaded not guilty but was later found guilty of failing to provide a breath sample on October 6 2019 during an investigation into whether she had committed a road traffic offence.

Forbes must also pay £350 in court costs and £32 to victim services.

SWINDON: Karl Foster, 33, of no fixed address was jailed for four weeks after indicating a plea of guilty to assaulting an emergency worker.

Foster beat a police community support officer on June 15 and resisted a man who was trying to help the PCSO.

He has been fined £100 and must pay £100 in compensation to his victim as well as £128 to victim services.

ELDENE: A 33-year-old man from Islands Mead received a suspended prison sentence of 26 weeks after indicating a plea of guilty to causing actual bodily harm to two police constables.

Luke Robinson assaulted the two members of Wiltshire Police by using a weapon on June 15. Both of his victims required hospital treatment for their injuries.

The emergency service workers were attending a domestic dispute in Hazelmere Close on Tuesday evening when they were attacked.

Robinson’s six-and-a-half months of jail time has been suspended for 18 months and he will not go to prison unless he commits another offence.

During the first six months of this period, he must follow an electronically-monitored curfew by staying at his home address between 7pm and 6am each day.

Robinson was told he must pay £175 in compensation to his police constable victim and £250 in compensation to his special police constable victim, plus £85 in court costs as well as £128 to victim services.

A rehabilitation activity requirement means he must attend appointments and take part in any activity suggested by the responsible officer over the course of up to 25 days.

TOWN CENTRE: Alloyshius D’Mello, 45, of York Road has been remanded on bail until December 6 2021 after pleading not guilty to a charge of assault.

D’Mello is accused of assaulting a man on October 8 last year.

His case has been adjourned so that a Konkanese interpreter can be arranged.

His bail conditions are to avoid visiting a Swindon address and to not contact his alleged victim or another specified person involved in the investigation.

SWINDON: A 45-year-old man from Wimbledon in London has pleaded not guilty to assault and using violence to enter a property in Swindon.

Mervyn Willis of Kingston Road is accused of assaulting a woman in Swindon by beating her on February 10 and forcing his way into a property while knowing that the occupant did not want him to enter.

He has been remanded on bail until his trial on October 29.

TOOTHILL: Matthew Glover, 47, of Stamford Close pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her and using threatening words or behaviour towards a man on May 18 last year.

He must pay £250 in court costs plus £22 to victim services.

SWINDON: David Ely, 45, of High Road in Ilford was fined £220 for driving between Junctions 15 and 16 on the M4 without a licence on April 4 2020 plus another £660 for not having insurance.

He must also pay £90 in court costs plus £110 to victim services.

SWINDON: Matthew John Rees of Co-operative Street in Pentre was fined £700 for speeding on the M4 near Swindon.

The 33-year-old was caught going over 70mph in an Audi on August 23 2020 and later pleaded guilty.

He must pay £110 in court costs plus £70 to victim services, and was disqualified from driving for 35 days.

SWINDON: Daniel Listwan, 32, of High Street in Langley, was caught going over 70mph in a Volkswagen on the M4 near Swindon on August 9 2020 and later pleaded guilty.

He was fined £600 and disqualified from driving for 28 days. Listwan must also pay £90 in court costs plus £60 to victim services.
