Nicole Hale, 18, from Redhouse is overwhelmed with the generosity of the public after asking for donations for a group that traps feral cats and helps them find homes.

Cats Assistance Trapping Service, a Gloucestershire and Swindon-based rescue charity, works with rescue centres, animal hospitals and charities to humanely trap stray and feral cats in the area who are in poor condition or need help. It hands them over to rescue centres who will continue their care, with the aim of rehoming them.

Nicola Hale said: “I started collecting items for them when mine and my partner’s cat Blazee decided he wanted to be a fussy cat and only eat a certain food.

"I didn’t want to waste the food so I found Emma Turner, a lady from CATS and gave her the food my little boy wouldn’t eat.

“So far I have been able to collect loads of different items for them, I am honestly shocked how a little post on Facebook has gone so far and so many people have messaged me saying they have items they will drop off”

Nicole has been collecting items for the charity for just over a week after making an appeal on social media and is hoping to receive many more donations for the charity going forward.
