A TEAM of hardworking nurses celebrated winning an award based on the amount of positive feedback for the third time.

Staff at Personal Home Choices in Dorcan Business Centre is the only care business in Swindon and Wiltshire to make the top 20 home care providers in the south west from Homecare.co.uk's rankings in 2021.

The award is based on anonymous feedback on the services, the carers and the management which is sent in from clients and their families via the Homecare website.

Registered manager Sharon Bryant said: "That's how we get new clients - people see our reviews and see what other people say about us, and family members of carers advocate for us.

"The directors went out on calls and the staff took no holiday last year, it's a lot of hard work and graft, they have done so well and really deserve this award."

Directors Lorraine Sawyer and Amanda Langford worked in care for more than 30 years before deciding to set up their own domiciliary care company in 2018.

The pandemic proved to be a testing time for the team but they are glad to have come out the other side and are now focused on the future.

Amanda said: "My father became very ill so I nursed him and could see a shortfall in the care that's available, so I started Personal Home Choices.

"It's been a really difficult time for the team but we have held together, ensured everything is done correctly

"We focus on staying small so that we can support our staff and make sure this is a priority, we want them to feel valued and buy them little thank-you gifts.

"They are always so dedicated and go above and beyond, we're so proud of every single one of them.

"The good reviews give us a wonderful feeling, it shows we're doing something right in this community.

"We do what we promise, this award proves that.

"We have lots of demand from clients at the moment, so we are looking to recruit more staff so that we can help more people."

Personal Home Choices Ltd previously made it into Homecare's Top 20 recommended home providers in south west England in 2018 and 2019.
