THE last Honda Civic has rolled off the Swindon plant's production line as the factory prepares to close.
A video seen by the Adver shows a crowd of staff at the South Marston factory gathered around the grey vehicle and taking photos to mark the momentous occasion yesterday.
Management staff pose in front of the car and say a few words of thanks to the 3,500-strong workforce for their years of service then lead a round of applause that echoes around the factory.
Cheers rang out as the car was driven off the production line.
Officially, the Honda plant's last day of operation is on Friday, then some staff will be retained while the plant is decomissioned.
Check out tomorrow's Adver for full coverage.
