Swindon's Mark Lamarr pays tribute to comedian Sean Lock

SWINDON-BORN comic and DJ Mark Lamarr has paid tribute to his friend the comedian Sean Lock from cancer aged 58.

The two were close and worked together, including on the television show 15 Storeys High, which aired between 2002-2004.

He tweeted: “Lost one of my oldest friends today. We spent years touring together and trapped in a writing room for months at at a time willing funny to come.

“And with him it always did. Glad we were part of each others’ life”

He accompanied the tweet with a link to the song Double Barrell by Dave and Ansell Collins.

As well as being known for his stand up, Lock was a panellist on the Channel 4 shows 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown.
