SOUTH Swindon’s MP is urging employers to join an online summit held by the Ministry of Justice.
The government department is hosting a free virtual employer summit with the New Futures Network on October 21
The network is a specialist part of Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service which connects businesses with skilled serving prisoners and prison leavers.
Greggs and Ricoh UK are among the many big businesses who will be attending the event and talking about their experiences as well as giving advice on employing prison leavers.
Robert Buckland said: “Employment is the key to breaking the cycle of crime.
“Maybe you have staff shortages or maybe you want to support someone on their new path; if you’re a business which would like to understand more about the process of employing prison leavers, join our free virtual summit.”
