The Harrow in Wanborough had its first-ever Men's Mental Health - Swindon Bike Run over the weekend and it was a roaring success.

The event revved up £1,000 for the local mental health organisation.

And the pub's landlord Gary Watts was so thrilled with how it went, he will now be making it an annual occasion.

"Mental health affects everyone either directly or indirectly and I've had far too much experience of the decisions people make when they feel there is nowhere to go.

"This was supposed to be an end-of-season thank you to our regular bikers for supporting the pub but it just grew from there.

"We brought in two of our fave bands The Daybreakers and The Rude Mood, provided a barbecue for all and everyone had a great time."

The event saw over 60 bikers depart from the Harrow to Choppers Cafe and then return in time for an evening of food and music where they were joined by locals.

There were competitions with prizes provided by Bike Treads and Moto Cave

The pub will be looking to hold other biker-powered charity events in the future.
