WROUGHTON: Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council will drop the 50mph speed limit to 40mph on:

-The B4005 Hay Lane from the garden centre access road to the new roundabout junction with B4005 Wharf Road and Wichel Way.

-The unclassified part of Hay Lane from the junction with the B4005 Hay Lane to south of the residential property known as The Wharf.

- The B4005 Wharf Road from the new roundabout junction with the B4005 Hay Lane and Wichel Way to west of Costow Farm Cottages.

A new 40mph speed limit will be introduced on the circulatory of the new roundabout junction of Hay Lane and Wharf Road and on Wichel Way for a distance of 70 metres from the roundabout.

Objections or representations to the proposed orders should be made completing the consultation form which can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders under 'Stage 2 - Formal consultation' with reference (ST&I/TRO/SWA Road Speed Limit) by no later than October 6 2021.

LECHLADE: A traffic order (reference STR000208) is being introduced to allow works to Lynt Bridge and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the unclassified single road over River Cole linking the A361 with the A417 Lechlade Road.

Traffic to be diverted via A361 Lechlade Road to Lechlade, A417 Lechlade Road to Buscot, Snowswick Lane and B4019 from Coleshill to Highworth. Works will take place from September 20 for up to six weeks.

TOWN CENTRE: An application has been made to the licensing authority for Swindon for the grant of a premises licence by Ofie Limited for Ofie Direct on 59-60 Bridge Street.

The applicant wants to supply alcohol for consumption on and off the premises every day from 9am to 11pm.

The full application may be inspected at the Offices of the Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Responsible authorities, and/or other persons (e.g. people/businesses living or working within the vicinity), can make representations at any time between September 8 and October 8.

WALCOT: A traffic order (reference STR0002S2) for highway resurfacing work will stop vehicles from driving along and parking on:

- Radstock Avenue between Midhurst Avenue to Silverton Road. Traffic to be diverted via Welcombe Avenue, Marlowe Avenue, Shaftesbury Avenue, Midhurst Avenue and vice versa.

-Bourne Road between Akers Way to Moredon Road, and Uxbridge Road and Godolphin Close. Access to be maintained.

-Kennet Road between Dunbar Road to Kerrs Way. Traffic to be diverted via Dunbar Road, Inveray Road, Kerrs Way and vice versa.

-Station Road, Highworth, between A361 to St Michael's Avenue. Traffic to be A361 Westrop, St Michael's Ave and vice versa. . Access to be maintained.

-Albion Street between William Street to Cambria Bridge Road. Traffic to be diverted via William Street, Cambria Bridge Road, Cambria Place, Faringdon Road, Westcott Place and Kingshill Road for phase 1 and Faringdon Road, Westcott Place, Kingshill Road, William Street, Cambria Bridge Road, Cambria Place, Faringdon Road, Marlborough Street and Joseph Street for phase 2.

The works will take place between September 27 and October 13 2021.
