THE Swindon Designer Outlet is on sale along with another outlet in Cheshire for a total price of around £600 million.

Real estate website Property EU reports that Nuveen is launching the sale of its UK designer outlet platform, which includes the two retail destinations and will be the UK's largest outlet transaction.

The landlord has mandated Morgan Williams to manage the sale which is expected to attract interest from investors from around the UK, Europe and further afield internationally.

Swindon Designer Outlet and Cheshire Oaks have a combined floor space of more than 650,000 square feet and are home to big-name and luxury brands.

The sites were first developed by McArthur Glen more than two decades ago and are ranked among the UK's top performing outlets.

Nuveen took over the Swindon and Cheshire outlets in 2008 for its UK Outlet Mall Fund and has invested a "significant" amount into the centres which have delivered positive returns.
