Ministry of Justice data shows there were 36 cases where an offender was convicted or cautioned again over possession of a knife or offensive weapon in Wiltshire in the year ending in March
WITNESSES called the police after seeing a man carrying a large knife in Swindon.
Officers responded to reports about a pedestrian holding a blade near Cambria Bridge at around 12.15pm on Friday.
They then arrested a man on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Police say there were no reported injuries and they are investigating.
