A FURTHER 288 coronavirus cases have been recorded in Swindon within 24 hours.
There have been 944 positive Covid-19 test results around the borough in the last week, which is 376 more than the week before - a rise of 66.2 per cent.
As of September 22, Swindon's infection rate stood at 317.2 cases per 100,000 population.
So far, 84.5 per cent of the over-16 population in the borough have had one vaccine dose and 78.6 per cent have had both doses.
Around the UK, there were 37,960 new coronavirus cases recorded and 40 new deaths of people who had tested positive for the disease.
