Stagecoach West has confirmed that driver strikes won't be affecting any of its services.

Earlier this month, bus union RMT confirmed that drivers from Stagecoach buses in the South West, East Midlands and Derbyshire/Yorkshire will be striking as part of a national fight for pay justice.

But, drivers from Stagecoach West, which services Gloucestershire & Wiltshire are allegedly not taking part, as the company itself confirmed in a statement on its social media pages

"We would like to re-assure customers that our drivers will not be taking part in the strike action on October 18.

"Services will continue as normal but please continue to check our Twitter feed for the latest service information."

A driver shortage has led to ongoing disruption of Stagecoach services in and around Swindon with customers running out of patience
