Youngsters will be on the hunt for a dinosaur’s missing roar on a trail around the town centre from today and for the rest of half-term week.

The organisation which arranges events for the town centre to make it more attractive, inSwindon, has set up a trail for budding detectives of all ages.

They will be asked to find and follow a series of scrolls in order to solve the mystery of the magical woodland fairy Lavender and where her best friend – fearsome-looking but gentle dinosaur Simon – lost his roar.

The Town Centre Story Trail is an interactive quest and 10 giant scrolls are located around the area telling the story. Each scroll has a QR code which people can scan and bring the story to life.

Lavender and Simon will be in the town centre between 11am and 3pm everyday from today (Saturday) until next Sunday.

A spokesman for inSwindon said: “Come along and say hello, they would all love to meet you and hope you can help find Simon’s roar.”

See swindontowncentre.co.uk for information about the story trail next week and for more on how the organisation is  supporting businesses.
