TWO people have been arrested after a three-day proactive operation across Swindon.

During the operation, the Stratton, Central Swindon North, and West Swindon Neighbourhood Policing team executed a drugs warrant and carried out high visibility patrol in hot spot areas.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Numerous stop checks were conducted allowing us to develop intelligence.”

The first person was arrested for theft of motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, money laundering and possession of an offensive weapon while the other was arrested for theft from motor vehicle offences.

Another person was dealt with possession of cannabis.

Three vehicles in total were seized for various reasons.

The spokesperson added: “It was great to be able to speak to so many members of the community when out and about and thank you to everyone who gave positive feedback.”
