A MAN has been charged with drink driving after a crash involving a police car near Malmesbury.
Francis Saunders, 54, of Greatfield, Royal Wootton Bassett, was arrested at the scene following the collision on the B4042 at Brinkworth which involved a black Land Rover and a police car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Saunders drove the Land Rover and has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit and will appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday December 1.
During October, the Royal Wootton Bassett community policing team have arrested 11 other drivers on suspicion of driving over the alcohol limit.
