WHITE Hart roundabout has reopened this morning.
Major reconstruction work has been completed to improve the life expectancy of the road but there is still traffic management such as lane closures and temporary signage in place on the road and surfacing work left to complete on the A420 and surrounding slip roads.
This surfacing work will be carried out during night-time closures (8pm to 6am), at the following locations on the dates set out below:
November 15 to 19 – A419 southbound off-slip to White Hart junction
November 21 to 23 – A420 eastbound from White Hart junction to Gablecross junction
November 24 and 25 - A419 southbound on-slip
November 28 to December 2 – A420 westbound from Gablecross junction to White Hart junction
December 3 and then from December 6 to 9 – A419 northbound main carriageway from White Hart junction to Rat Trap
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted throughout this work.
A Swindon Borough Council spokesman said: "We hope that by completing this surfacing work through the night, disruption to road users and local retailers will be minimal.
"We’d like to thank local residents and businesses for their ongoing patience throughout this scheme."
