SWINDON and Wiltshire Pride will return next year.

After thousands attended this summer's festival, organisers have now announced details of the 2022 event on August 13.

The day celebrates the diversity of the town and LGBTQ+ culture, with Swindon organisations, service providers and charities uniting for a fun day of live music.

South Swindon Parish Council manages the Town Gardens. Chair Chris Watts said: “We are delighted that the historic Town Gardens will be continuing to host Swindon & Wiltshire Pride in 2022. This event brings the Swindon and Wiltshire communities together to promote and celebrate our diversity.

“Over the years, Pride in the Town Gardens has significantly expanded and improved, and now offers an incredible range of music and entertainment that I and other residents love.

“I would encourage everybody to get the date in their diary now and make sure you celebrate Swindon and Wiltshire’s greatest and most worthwhile event.”

Phoenix Stewart is the community engagement manager for Swindon and Wiltshire Pride.

He said: “We are extremely grateful to South Swindon Parish Council for once again letting us use this beautiful setting to host Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2022.This has been our home from the start, and to have their support once again and be able to return is fantastic.”
