Prospect Hospice in Wroughton has been chosen to receive a grant of £1,065 from Wiltshire Freemasons and the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

This is one of 227 grants given to hospices around England and Wales from the Freemasons which will total £600,000 this year.

Andrew Thompson, from the charity, said: “We’re very grateful to the Freemasons for their generous grant, which will be used to enhance the services provided by our dedicated nursing staff.

Simon Leighfield from Wiltshire Freemasons added: “I’m very pleased we’ve been able to assist Prospect Hospice.

"They do an outstanding job helping people with terminal or life limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families through very difficult times.

Since 1994, the Freemasons have given more than £15m to hospices in England and Wales.
