Swindon Advertiser:

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a shotgun without certificate and three counts of theft of a motor vehicle.

The two men have been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue and the woman was released under investigation.

Officers raided the house to execute a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Sergeant Ed Audritt, from Stratton, Central North and West Swindon Neighbourhood Team, said: "We know that people carrying and using knives and other weapons is very often linked to other types of criminality, such as the supply and sale of illegal drugs.

Swindon Advertiser:
"This warrant proves that we are taking proactive steps to target criminals, disrupt illegal activity and make arrests.

"I have no doubt that the four knives seized at this address would have caused serious harm if they had been used to assault somebody, and we welcome any opportunity to get these sorts of weapons off our streets."

Operation Sceptre is a national campaign of action and education to tackle knife crime and runs until the end of this week.
