HIGHWORTH'S Christmas lights are being switched on this Saturday.
An afternoon of festive fun is planned in the build-up to the big moment.
Several of the High Street's shops and cafes are extending their opening hours and musicians will be performing on The Podium near the huge Christmas tree.
The Westrop Pupils Choir (2pm and 3pm), Scouts Choir (2.30pm), Chelsea Millard (4pm) and Steven Tilley (5.30pm) will each have their time in the spotlight.
There will be Christmas craft fair Stalls in the church from midday and in the High Street from 1pm, along with live music, food and refreshments.
A scavenger hunt will be held from the Highworth Town Council marquee in the Market Square. Correct entries, which must be submitted by 4pm, will then be entered into a draw to pick one lucky person to switch on the lights.
Santa Claus will come to town after the lights are switched on.
