THE Youth Adventure Trust is looking for people to join the 10 Peaks Challenge.

The charity helps vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 from Swindon and Wiltshire to build resilience, develop confidence and learn the skills to face the challenges in their lives and make positive choices.

Sponsors Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports cover the costs of the event, which means there is no entry fee and all the money from the challenge will go to the trust - it has raised more than £125,000 over the last 13 years.

On Saturday July 16, teams of four to six people will be heading out to hike 10 different peaks in Brecon Beacons National Park., including Pen y Fan, covering 34km in a target time of 10 hours.

Teams are asked to raise funds to support the Youth Adventure Trust and all participants will receive a discount voucher to spend online or in store at Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports.

Anita took part last year and said: "As tough as it was, we had such a fantastic day and loved every minute. It felt so well organised and safe, and the marshalls were all so enthusiastic and encouraging which really helped spur us on."

Ian added: "What a great weekend and such a brilliant amount was raised, hats off to everyone involved. Now that the legs have recovered and the pain is all but a distant memory, we are signing up for the challenge again in 2022."
