A HUGE amount of fly-tipped waste blocked a road in Highworth.
One driver called the police after his vehicle hit some of the rubbish which had been dumped along the road in Fresden on Thursday.
Kitchen units, stoneworks and other general waste covered the tarmac.
Police believe the trash may have been dumped by a flat-bed truck at around 6pm on Wednesday.
They are urging anyone with information about what happened and who may be responsible to get in touch as soon as possible.
The police said a big thank you to the town's gamekeepers who used their JCB to help remove the rubbish and clear the road, making it safe for motorists to use again,
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
